Navigating Expat Life in Germany with the Therapy Collective - Why We Created this Space

Moving, and the seemingly never-ending adjustment, to living in a new country can be both an exciting and challenging experience. This can feel especially true when it comes to navigating the healthcare system in a foreign land. For expats living in Germany, finding a therapist or support practitioner who understands their experience and speaks a familiar language can be critical for health, well-being and thriving.

Enter the Therapy Collective, born from the imagination of expat therapists looking to support the international community through their work while also showcasing this unique network of professionals, lifting it up. Here we connect internationally trained therapists to expats seeking support with a variety of health and wellness concerns. This collective of therapists - including psychotherapists, psychologists, speech and language pathologists and occupational therapists - is dedicated to providing high-quality care to internationally mobile individuals and families. We know what it is like to be in your shoes and want to use our training to support you as you move forward on this lightly treaded path.

What sets the Therapy Collective apart is its focus on offering therapy services in English, making it easier for many expats to access the support they need in their comfort zone. Further, by bringing together a diverse group of therapists who share a common goal of supporting expats, the Therapy Collective has created a unique, affirming and inclusive space for the expat community. Comprised of a group of interdisciplinary professionals, the Therapy Collective has the ability to offer a wide range of services to meet your needs, offering a more holistic approach to health and well-being. The Collective also has the flexibility to offer individual sessions, support groups, workshops and more to creatively tailor services to meet needs.
